Empowering Students with Knowledge and Opportunities
The ISACA Student Group (ISG) at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura organized two highly engaging ISACA Awareness Sessions for the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce during the 2025/26 term, aiming to introduce students to the world of IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity, while highlighting the benefits of becoming a member of the ISG USJ.
The first session took place virtually on 10th December 2025, providing a flexible and accessible platform for students across the department of Information Technology to learn about ISACA USJ’s mission, its global community, and professional opportunities in IT audit, cybersecurity, and risk management.
The second session, conducted physically on 11th February 2026, brought students together on campus for a more interactive experience. This session offered students the chance to network directly with existing ISG members, learn about ongoing projects, and understand how they could contribute to the group’s initiatives.
Following the completion of these awareness sessions, the member recruitment drive for the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce commenced.
