Celebrating Growth and New Leadership
The University of Sri Jayewardenepura’s ISACA Student Group (USJ ISG) celebrated a significant milestone with the successful hosting of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2025/26 on October 22, 2026, with the presence of Mr. Prabhasara Athurupane, Faculty Advisor of USJ ISG. The event was held at the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm, achievement, and forward-looking energy.
Appointment of New Office Bearers
A key highlight of the AGM was the formal appointment of the 2025/26 leadership team, a group of passionate and dedicated individuals ready to drive the ISG’s vision forward. The new office bearers are:
- President: Amaya Amarasinghe
- Vice President: Gagani Senanayake
- Secretary: Ravindu Shashadya
- Assistant Secretary: Savina Visvanathan
- Junior Treasurer: Tharuka Gunarathne
- Member Training and Development Officers: Divya Gunasekara, Nimsa Vithanaarachchi
- Digital Media Managers: Akila Yesan, Ruwindu Ayesh
- Logistic and Operational Managers: Thanushi Rathnajeewa, Ruvin Palihawadana
- Co-Editors: Fathima Amna, Pramila Thamilselvan
- Public Relations Officers: Sanjana De Silva, Pahanma Kumarasiri
Beyond the formal appointments, the AGM provided a platform for members to share experiences and share the annual plan for the year ahead, reinforcing the ISG’s mission to make a meaningful impact within the university and the broader IT community.

With an energized leadership team at the helm, the group is set to drive initiatives in IT Audit, Governance, Risk Management, and Cybersecurity, empowering members and shaping the next generation of technology leaders.
