Celebrating Milestones: Recap of USJ ISG's Inaugural Annual General Meeting - 2023
The University of Sri Jayewardenepura’s ISACA Student Group (USJ ISG) marked a significant milestone with the successful hosting of its inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 31st of May 2023. This landmark event took place at the esteemed New Faculty Board Room within the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, creating an atmosphere of excitement and achievement.
The AGM was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Mr. Lakmal Embuldeniya, President of the ISACA Sri Lanka Chapter, who served as the Chief Guest. Additionally, the event welcomed Mr. Deenadayalan Nagaratnam, Director of Education and Training at ISACA Sri Lanka Chapter; Dr. Dushan Jayawickrama, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce; Dr. Mahesh Fernando, Head of the Department of Information Technology; and various Professors and Lecturers of the Department of Information Technology. Mr. Prabhasara Athurupane, Faculty Advisor of USJ ISG, was also among the notable guests who graced the occasion.
One of the significant highlights of the AGM was the appointment of the office bearers for the year 2023/2024. The new leadership team comprises individuals who are enthusiastic and dedicated to the mission of the USJ ISG. The elected members include:

- Vice President – Ms. Jayathri Wijewardana
- Secretary – Mr. Gangulel Samaraweera
- Assistant Secretary – Ms. Kavindi Ranasinghe
- Junior Treasurer – Ms. Binuri Perera
- Co-Editors – Ms. Dilanka Nanayakkara, Ms. Kavindya Wijayashantha
- Member Training and Development Officers – Ms. Sandupama Jayaweera, Ms. Wickrama Kuruppu Arachchige Nirasha
- Logistic and Operational Managers – Mr. Dumal Kaveesh, Ms. Nethuli Nimhara
- Public Relations Officers – Ms. Lakmi Iluksooriya, Ms. Aamina Wadood
- Digital Media Managers – Ms. Sayona Sajini, Mr. Tharindu Fernando
